Shangrila Vegan | Our Story
One plate, cooked fresh on Telegraph
We cook a rotating menu of organic, macrobiotic vegan food in Oakland, and there's one plate to choose from. Pick a moderate or a full, and the rest is up to us.
The room
Tibetan Buddhist art hangs on the walls and spiritual music plays low. It's a family-run place, and people tell us it feels peaceful.
The daily plate
We change and post the menu twice a day. Every plate starts with a hot soup, then comes long wild brown rice, beans or lentils, vegetables, greens and a salad.
Come alone or bring a crowd
Groups can reserve, and everyone pays for their own plate at the counter in the back. The tea is bottomless, free and self-serve.
The pies
Our key lime, chocolate and coconut milk pies are gluten-free, with no sugar added, and they contain nuts. Guests love the pressed crust on the key lime.
Three East Bay kitchens
You'll find us on Telegraph, on Linden and in Albany. Thank you for eating with us.
